The only way we can ever be happy and fulfilled in our lives is by creating a life that is in harmony with our nature. This is true if we are MC's or subjects. Ideally we build a life with those that compliment our values and long term goals. Everyone seeks to live accordingly to their preferences unless something or some one sways them. How often should an MC sit down to be introspective and possibly course correct their life? That answer can be different for everyone, but for me, that answer is at least monthly. If an MC doesn't do this then the possibility of experiencing intense pain increases. None of us should be waiting for something else to happen before we can take steps to lead our lives.
So often, people develop habitual patterns of behavior that frustrate themselves, and in the long term are toxic to their body or relationship. Smoking, chronic over eating, binge watching media, no work life balance, etc., are all symptoms of a mind being distracted from the cause of their pain. Some of these things are enjoyable to do some times. What's the real problem here?
These behaviors are the result of frustration, anger, emptiness, and unmet needs, because people do not have a sense of fulfillment in their lives. They are trying to distract themselves from the feelings of emptiness and lack of meaning in what they are doing with their lives. This gap in attention and meaningfulness has them craving to feel something more, and if there is a side of a person that isn't shared with their partner - well, the emptiness and longing grows into desperation over time. Then worry, fear, and anxiety slips into your thoughts because confronting what is wrong takes time, energy, and work. Many people don't know how to begin. The gap in their behavior and thoughts created by avoiding the problem for so long has created self doubt every time a distraction was taken up as a quick fix.
Every behavior we express shapes itself into a habitual response that either reinforces our intent and energy, or redirects it. The same pattern is true for establishing new behaviors, as it is for choosing to keep limiting beliefs and behaviors. Discovering I could make a difference in the lives of MC's and their subjects who were going through these problems was what got me writing The Tao of Relationship Maintenance for Mind Controllers. I offer a process and a system that can dramatically improves how an MCs practices their art and designs this life with collaborative goals. So if you know an MC that is dealing with these issues, or their subjects, tell them to get The Tao of Relationship Maintenance for Mind Controllers. We can do so much more when we are part of a tribe. Take a seat, and join the conversation at our community table. This isn't just a book. What you have here is an invitation to walk along this path together.
