Everyone of us has had the experience of going to a party or group event and trying to capture someone’s attention and interest. If you are serious about practicing these skills you will have to find like minded subjects to do so. This post will share a technique you can use to apply these skills. Use whether you are seeking to network professionally or attract a prospective partner. Confusion inductions are used everywhere and they are one of the most subtle ways to do trance hijacking and street hypnosis. The method goes like this.
1. Identify a dominant pattern in the subject's behavior through observation and linguistic harvesting.
2. Pace the pattern until you can lead with it.
3. Interrupt or overload the pattern in a way which confuses the subject.
4. Amplify the confusion a bit.
5. Utilize the conscious confusion by using a command statement "Forget your name. What's your name? Where do you live?" "Drop down into a deep hypnotic sleep."
The method above takes time, but it can also be used conversationally. Imagine handing someone your business card and having a phrase printed on it simply to induce confusion and curiosity. You might get this card at a party, speed dating event, business meeting, or from a friend that completely forget my name in the business of the moment. What they will remember is the question that leads them back to me and my name. This technique is used by corporations everyday. "Ask me about our bear high life collection." We are going to apply it in a similar fashion here.
This technique is a great one to use as you publicly mingle with others. It stops your brain in its tracks. It makes you pause. It makes you focus on ME. Once you stop and interrupt someone's thoughts with a confusing line, you can then embed a hypnotic command right after it. In other words, if I write "Home to the hypnotic bear's crown." Then follow it with, "Read my book, The Tao of Relationship Maintenance for Mind Controllers" the chances are better that you are going to check it out, and read my new ebook. And if you don't check it out of course, it doesn't matter because I never really told you to go buy it. See? The same process will happen with your new business cards. Even if the person does not have time to chat much in the moment your card has the potential to lead you back this later.
This focus on you is a moment of opportunity because of the captured attention in a busy environment. If you are describing yourself as a hypnotist, MC, or the experience of hypnosis itself in great detail make sure you include an element that may be vague or confusing. That element is an opportunity for interest and for you to direct the conversation and ideas into a completely new direction. Happy trancing!
